Being a professional on paranoia myself :S , I'd just like to ask all of our members, many of whom I like and respect very much to just keep a handle on what we are posting in here.

We are all scouring the internet for things and sure, we are all bumping into stuff that looks "conspiracy theory-ish" and all but we are all just going to end up all wound up and it's not going to do any of us any good.

We own weapons. The primary issue right now SHOULD be our 2nd Amendment rights and we are flowing from one major conspiracy theory to the next and why? Because we are worried about our rifles, our magazines and our rights in general.

It's easy to find sensationalism and HOT reports of stuff all over the place and sure, some of it makes sense and I'm as guilty as anyone for doing it however don't let it take over the forum and end up making us all look, to a casual browser or possibly prospective members as if we are all just a paranoid pack of gun totin maniacs jumping from one news clip to the next and getting all whipped up over what at this point is only conjecture and speculation.

I don't want to be the one to stop us all from posting what we find but I also care about our site and every member on it and if we all look like a pack of conspiracy theorists, armed to the teeth and ready to go to war, well, guess who's gonna be on the Feds number 1 list of people to go and visit when they start putting that list together...lol Yea. All the damn "gun nuts" on AR10t.com with all of the "theories", big bore ARs and ammo falling out of their pockets...

Again - I ain't pickin on anyone and MAY be just posting this for my OWN sanity at this point but damn guys, let's try and hold it together and talk about something a little less paranoid unless troops are literally mobilizing somewhere near your house.

This is some pretty crazy stuff guys and, well, I just don't want our entire board to be taken over with it all ya know??

Let's stick with 2 political threads that we can ALL post reports and info in ALONG THESE LINES but no new threads about this stuff as we still need to keep up with what we are all here about - our rifles.

New revelations with our 2nd amendment fight are always welcome but lets try and keep the conspiracy theory stuff contained to just two threads and contain ourselves a bit - I'm ASKING...

I've got one thread about "Would you fire on American Citizens" that I actually wish I HADN'T started now but should be one of the ones we'll keep because it has progressed so far.

Moby just started one entitled "American is arming up and so is the government".


If anyone feels they NEED to start ANY more threads about such topics, please check with your favorite mod first. Otherwise, please just keep any new posts, youtube vids, news stories or anything else you find confined to those two threads and let try not to spread it too far across the boards.

Thanks guys. If you are all feeling it the way I am right now, then you know what I'm talking about.

Let's get a handle on it before we all start filling sand bags and spending our 401Ks on beans n weanies... :)

Where I don't agree with just sticking with the two threads in the political category....I do agree that we all need to keep a level head...and be careful on what we post up...so far I have not seen anything to outrageous or totally BS...being posted...if we start seeing it...action will be taken...
Just to be VERY CLEAR...I am not one for Censorship...but in these times..one must be aware of "Big Brother is watching all of us"....
So as sharkey asks....Just be mindful of what is being posted...

:I-agree: Thank you Sharkey for posting this thread! I come to this site for everything AR 10. Although I do visit many other sites that regrettably get me worked up, this forum along with my wife help me find some sanity. No offense, but most of y'all are older than I am. You guys have been around on some if not most of these "pressing" issues before. Due to that fact I try to sit back, listen, and take in your words of wisdom. Their are many other forums out there with very mean spirited"no it all" members. I find this forum to be a true community of like minded individuals like no other. I'm proud to be a member. So guys help keep me sane, because when when you guys say shtf I will believe it, and I will always have all of your backs.

For the record BMS. Asking to keep it to 2 threads is not "censorship". It's what is known in business as "keeping the snowball at the top of the hill" before the whole meeting is all about just one problem that we cannot solve. I also didn't make it for the "political category" - just the conspiracy theories and just for the time being and I also politely ASKED - I did not threaten anyone with hammers or any foolishness.

This is AR10t.com. Not "conspiracy theories incorporated" and sure, are there a few things going on that may or may not add up to something? Yes. Is this what we all joined here to discuss and enjoy talking about? No.

All I'm saying is that before we all go posting every bit of trivia we find, credible or not, let's just step back a bit and get a damn grip. We've got a long way to go with JUST our 2nd Amendment fight and that should stay our focus without getting all "lock and load" over things we are all just guessing at.

I'm concerned about it all too but this is not a direction we want our forum to take I am sure.

Let's just keep it under control is ALL I am asking. No censorship involved. Just keeping the coffee mug from falling all over my screen is all.

Whoa Sharkey...My friend I did not accuse you of anything...
and I agree that this is a "Gun Forum"...not a "Political Forum"..we have the category so people may post "some" political Threads...If I remember right...I was the one who suggested it...
As for Censorship...Meaning, I don't like to do it, but in the past we have had to do it on occasion to maintain the Standards and Morals of this site..
If a "Thread" gets out of control (no matter the subject) as Mods we will act if Necessary to maintain it..That is what I meant...

Thanks to all, that said:

1) I fully agree on the consiiracy theory stuff and certainly the stuff that you get in your in box that says its the truth etc. I get those regularly and I also have a lot of friends that send them to me for verification. Not often one of these letters is the real deal

2) I think keep things in context of the 2nd Amendment RKBA, that DIRECTLY affects anyone with an AR 10. As a matter of fact on the list of the 157 weapons on Fine Tunes list the ArmaLite AR 10 was number 1...

3) Keeping threads to only 2. Yes, sounds good, but in reality I fear the thread creep would prevent that. Let me give an example: I am hawking Thomas ( thomas.loc.gov ) for the text of Diane FineTunes bill on Assault weapons ( S. 150 ) but the text has not been received from the GPO at this time. Soon as I get it I will post it and I STRONGLY feel it justifies its own thread, I mean ArmaLite AR 10 is mentioned in it (at least the draft).

2nd Amendment threads and ALL reports about anything to do with these issues are FAR more than Welcome Cowboy and even encouraged.

Please guys, all I was referring to were the government conspiracy threads that are primarily discussing how they are planning on invading us all with troops and herding us into cattle wagons for trips to the slaughter houses. Although we all agree that our gubmint is up to something, for the time being, let's keep THAT talk within the two threads that are already about it and not barrage the boards with every youtube conspiracy video we find. That was ALL I was asking - for the sake of ALL our sanity..

As for ANY reports about our 2nd Amendment fight, threads, posts and all new news is very welcome and encouraged because this directly effects us NOW and is changing on a minute to minute basis so all news is good and welcome news.

Thank you for asking Cowboy and I DO hope this clears up any questions. I'm sorry if I didn't explain it well and hope this does... :)
