Never shot or seen a piston system out performed direct inline gas system for long range accuracy. Weight and movement of piston rod interferes with barrel harmonics. Often people start with other brands of ARs, but only to spend more money later playing catch up. However I have seen rifles that cost twice as much shoot as well, but without the durability of Armalite, King of the Jungle!
