Has anyone tried the conversion with an AR-10 lower and a Spider Arms .50bmg upper?
I am wanting to acquire said materials just wondering if its all its cracked up to be

For the price of a Spider Arms you can get a dedicated 50 from Anzio Ironworks.

Anzio Single shot starts at $2500

Ferret starts at $2274 for the uppers.

Mag fed Anzio 50 for $3995

If your after a low cost 50 BMG look at BOHICA uppers they can be had for around $1200
