FAA question on the dimpling. I suspect there is some weight reduction on this and its visually attractive. Now I beg the question is there more to it? Or is it for the aforementioned reasons?
Mainly weight reduction. Ten ounces removed from that barrel. Dimpling is staid to induce less stressors upon the barrel than fluting. KAC has been offering this for a few years now.
Interesting, thanx...I like fluting and yes it can cause some issues if the grooves and lands are not equally spaced around the bbl. That dimpling looks nice now that I have seen it... :thumbs:
