Looking to price check an old Armalite Ar15. He said it was a "Ar80". He also said he purchased it in the 70s. If this isn't enough info please let me know. Asking this without the gun in hand. I can get the beginning digits in the serial number or number of digits if need be.
Need a crap load more info......pics would be best. Really need all the information that is stamped on the receiver. From what you stated, my best guess, $700 to $2700. All depends on the details and condition.
I saw an early California marked AR-180 sell for $1,200 at a local auction last year. It had plenty of finish wear and had no magazine, wish I'd have taken pictures. It was a phoned in absentee bid so somebody was looking hard to find it on a small time local auctioneers site!

Indeed. I remember a thread we had about updating the AR180 a few months ago...An upgraded AR180 with modern materials and surface treatments would be the bee's knees.

That was a good thread, right after I joined the forum. Helped get me hooked on AR10T.com
