Now thats a nice scope mount. I really wanted to take advantage of the built in 20MOA elevation, the intent from the beginning was to end up with a long range platform. I am going to search right now for alternatives.

I put it in a vise this morning with a solid peice of bar stock and torked the screws down tight then removed it and it seems to line up right now. Its getting good contact with the tube now. Will not know if this is a permenant fix until I get the rifle and mount it and fire some rounds to see if it creeps, but it looks right now. And I don't think it will hurt the tube mounting it now. Thanks for the input everyone, Nikon was willing to go good on the mount, but I don't think its a issue anymore.
