Does some one make a kit in the Benelli M4? or ya just adding parts and pieces for home defense?
I forgot to add above Marlin 1895 .45-70 with extended hammer and some peep sights and Ruger Blackhawk convertible in 45LC and .45ACP with a little cyl. and trigger work.
What I do couldn't "really" be considered a build Akai. I bought the black, Benelli M4 because my old police rem 1100 that I made to LOOK tactical some 25 years ago needed retiring. I'm just changing the furniture (eventually) and making it suitable for my needs now. I need to make changes to, and add on a certain number of American made parts just so I can legally make it a full, 9 round shotgun anyway so I'm taking my time and finding just the right stuff as I can. I love it though and it is just an incredibly efficient and fast machine.
As for the AR10, I bought the stock AR102BF with fixed front sight and carry handle config since it was the same style as what I used early on in the Army and am just hoping to change the stock, add a light (in a config I'm happy with which is tough) and eventually a scope but for now, it's just the basic rifle that I enjoy and my wife is learning with.
She's only 5'1 and about 115lbs so she's been firing with the bipod until I can afford her M15 in 7.62 x 39. (I'm 6'1 and thanks to the holidays, up to about 250 this month so back to the gym in January for me )
We both wear "cheaters" when it comes to reading so without a scope and using only battle sights, at 200 yards (longest shot at our range) if we are CLOSE to the 5X (with maybe 1/3 IN it), center of mass mark on our human silhouette targets, I'm pretty happy darn.. Getting older stinks and the old eyes start going fuzzy trying to keep that darn sight picture.
She enjoys it so I figure getting her one of her own, WITH .30 cal stopping power, VERY cheap ammo and quite a bit lighter will have her right in love with shooting so we can enjoy the long range together. She's already VERY good with a handgun and not bad with the M4 so rifle is next for her. I've got such a great wife and we enjoy doing things that she never dreamed of before meeting me. One in a billion my girl...
Siscowet,
Have you looked at the slings offered by Tactical Intervention Specialists (
www.tacticalintervention.com/
)? I'm fairly sure that Mike will custom make slings to accommodate you big folks. I got one in just this week and haven't had a chance to try it out. However, it appears to be extremely well made.

Is what I use on my AR-10 and M-15...The E-1 Rifle has a Supper Sling 2 which functions similarly,,but less in cost....
