Any thoughts on the best ready carry sling for an AR10? Right now I set it up with a 3 point sling I got from CTD. Problem is I have a 54 inch chest and it is a little tight. I am working to lose some inches but unless I give up weights, it's gonna be a problem. Any body have any ideas or personal preferences?

I've been real happy with this one from LaRue tactical;
www.laruetactical.com/larue-tactical-trigger-snap-sling

I only paid $35 for it on ebay though so shop around.

A 54 inch chest? Holey moley Shwarzenegger, how about a girth strap from a saddle? :laugh:

If you click the link above through the Amazon icon, I don't remember the brand names but there are a ton of slings on there and many of them had the lengths posted in the ads.

Even if you don't buy it from Amazon, that is a great place to get ideas because they list all sorts of stuff from different manufacturers Sisco.

Good place to start looking.

Of course, I'm sure one of our pros on here will also have an idea as well but ya know, while you wait...

Right now, I'm big on Blue Force Tactical 2 point slings with quick adjust buckles. The Vicker's Combat Applications Sling is also very good.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I will check those out. Schwarzenegger I am not. I have actually seen him, he is not as big as you think. Hulk Hogan on the other hand, is big! 35 years of weight lifting has given me a tough muscle memory to fight to lose inches and weight. I do more cardio now than anything to try get and keep pounds off. Every year it gets tougher. Taking the AR10 to the range tommorrow for the first time. So tonight feels like Christmas Eve as a kid. Can't wait till mañana.

Nope. That's suddenly seems odd to me too I spose. I never really thought of taking photos of my targets. I usually just shoot em.

I actually only get to the range about once a month (if that due to cash flow and xmas) but I spose I'll have to work on a photo or two just to show that I am actually a card carrier. It takes so darn long to save up for parts that I want lately and I still have a long way to go before I'm actually happy with it but I'll see what I can do.

I'm working on my AR10 and a Benelli M4 at the same time and getting nowhere fast.

Never been big on posting pics of my weapons online but I'll work on it. :)

What flavor are you using on the upper and lower for the AR-10 build?
Does some one make a kit in the Benelli M4? or ya just adding parts and pieces for home defense?
I forgot to add above Marlin 1895 .45-70 with extended hammer and some peep sights and Ruger Blackhawk convertible in 45LC and .45ACP with a little cyl. and trigger work.
