I'll be scarin' the bejeezus out of my neighbors if they see me running around the property (two secluded, wooded acres on a slope) as I carry a load while, uh, exercising...yeah, that's it.
Toss in dry fires with elevated heart rates and breath-catching moments...
I wish I had some real property, also wish I had kept this 54 year old body in better shape.
Interesting thread guys. This time of the year I have started to carry my modified kit in my back acreage while scoping for deer season. Also plan to use my AR10T this year. Attached photo shows ready kit I have put together. Was going to use a tactical vest until I wore one in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity. That convinced me I needed more airflow. The suspenders give good support and weight distribution.
And couldn't agree more on condition, in my case a 66 year old bodY.

I've never put a dedicated kit together but I did find a site that had some good thoughts on the matter. Your rig reminded me of it...

If you see an expiration notice, dismiss it and the article will be viewable.
I really like your inclusion of a harness. A duty belt is too heavy for hip comfort on its own.
Nice set up Sisco, you same the same mag carrier's. A CAT, SOF tourniquet would be a good addition also. Maybe a mini med kit. I like the suspenders, I did use a similar set up, and I gravitated away from it I don't know why it was just a natural selection over time. I hunt the westerner UP occasionally and always carry a lot of water and kit in general. I have a small pack that goes with. What goes in the holster?

Fred Nice link I will be over there for a while.
Right now a Sig Sauer SP2022 in .40 S and W. Soon to be replaced by a Sig P227 in .45
I have a small pack that can replace the suspenders for 1st aid, water, and other essentials, still hooks to the duty belt to provide load bearing support.
Sisco-Sig 227 2 thumbs way up. Did you see the recent article on the hot loads being made with cut down 308 shells in 45 ACP they where saying 1600fps from a 185gr bullet . they should be out soon if not by now.
Got the amendment, that's good you can't under rate water. Lebben - have not seen him here in awhile. I think he popped in for a minute or two last month. He always had a good perspective on the practical side of things.

Read about re-loaders doing that some ten years ago. They called it .45 Super. In 1911s, it required a stronger recoil spring and I think they mentioned some relief cutting on the ejection port.
Might make a hell of a round for a 16" carbine like Beretta's Cx4 Storm.
