My landlord signed the UPS slip on this for me today.

Bunch more parts were on the doorstep! With the spare parts I already had laying around I should have what I need to get it together and firing. I'll have to replenish the expense account before I get a good stock and a SSA-E trigger for it...........

Here is an older carbine stock and grip that was taken off an Armalite carbine, I plan on getting a better stock and grip but this will have to do for now. The black grip came in the FREE lower parts kit that started this, kind of like a small pox infected blanket, nice but I had no idea what would come of it;

A set of KNS non-rotation pins, just because they were cheap;

And the trigger from my Sig P400, it sucks but like the stock a better part will have to wait for funds;

I'm thinking I'll add a Magpul UBR stock and a Geissele SSA-E trigger as soon as I can. I'm not sure about what scope will get moved where yet and of course I'll have to pick up some back up irons, none of this will hold me up on the break in though.
More pics of the lower when built and the upper when I know it fits!
I am pretty impressed with the finish, only one tiny bump left from casting, even the inside is virtually free of machine marks. Just hope the fit matches the finish!
Rifle assembled :usa:
Only had a few glitches. The safety seems a little easy for my taste, not as firm a click as I'm used to. I plan on changing it out for one of those short throw versions so I hope that will feel better. The green grip would not fit, the lug on the Spikes lower was just to big so I put the black one that came in the parts kit on, no big deal as I plan on switching out both stock and grip.

Now for the real bummer, the rail on the upper doesn't line up. It isn't off by much but the first time I shouldered the rifle it stuck right out at me

I couldn't get a good picture but it does show a bit even with the poor focus. I don't have a straight edge here but but I'll bring my 4ft level home with me on monday and see how much it's off. Guess I'll find out what ArmaLite has to say about it sometime this week. Hate the idea of shipping it back but I'm thinking the back-up irons won't work real well this way. That and over $600 for an upper I expect it right.
