Last week I was at our local gun shop where I fell in love with a Head Down Products PV-9

It is has a milled upper and lower, magpul STR collapsable stock , Geissele trigger

I can't pick it up until next Tuesday and look forward to giving a range report once I've got it in my possession.

My son is currently looking into ar's , this looks like a good canidate. Looks like they spent some time tweeking the average CAD file for the upper receiver, assuming they make there own.

I picked it up and then sent it right back to the MFG to have the upper swapped out. The upper was noticeably loose at the front pin. I called them up and asked them about it and they said if I wanted it to fit tighter they would swap the upper with a new upper that fit tighter! Amazing customer service if you ask me.

I sent them an email confirming the rifle was shipped and asked what if any custom work they do and they responded that they will do anything the customer wants. So I'm going to have them factory install an ambi safety.

The finish of it is beautiful and it is nice to get a rifle that out of the box is configured very well.

I'm really digging this new generation of handguards that don't have the rails all the way down the side and bottom. Add to that a Geissele trigger and you have some serious attention to detail.

Waiting for the part about how it shoots.
