Makes sense, odds are it isn't a problem with only one.
Is that a wolf or just a big coyote? All we have is coyotes so to me every big, wild, dog is a coyote, fair game!
Our coyote population has boomed! The fur has lost any real commercial value so there just isn't any real hunting anymore. Cattle Farmers pay for ammo so guys will hold them off during calving season! They are basically treated as large varmints.
This is a coyote, the farther east you go from Northern Minnesota, the coyotes are bigger. DNA researchers have proven they are coyote/wolf hybrids. They have spread all the way to Maine, and displaced and replaced the traditional smaller coyote. Wolves here will average about 90 pounds, and rarely get down this close to our neighborhood. A pack of them killed a coyote on the ice though winter before last. Nothing left but a ravaged coyote carcass and a bunch of huge footprints.
