I went to the range this weekend and I shot some of this stuff. It was pretty fun. Anyone else tried it?

Last time I shot at that stuff was a couple of years ago with a Browning Model 1919 30 cal machine gun with a Trujicon sight attached. Went thru $100 worth in five minutes. Not to mention a $100 worth of ammo.

You can get several recipes online and the powdered aluminum is available on eBay for a reasonable price, I think reasonable anyway, I don't have any experience buying it elsewhere any cheaper. Just be careful what you do with it. The stuff you see them do on TV is technically illegal without a permit. You can't use it to blow stuff up, then it is classified like a bomb, local guy got in trouble placing it at the mouths of coyote dens, they come out stumbling,to bad neighbors didn't like the noise and called the sheriff. Same deal with mixing the chemicals, never till it is in place or you are technically in possession of an explosive device. I'll be surprised if the anti-gunners don't go after this stuff next!

Good reason why I don't use the stuff.

Yeah, but it was a heck of a lot of fun. Then he broke out his M2.

I love this stuff, and my kids love this stuff. Best off all, I love that kids believe anything dad tells them. The fun we had when I let them shoot the last box of nuclear 5.56 was priceless.
I did eventually let them in on it, and that resulted in every shooting trip "Dad, are we taking the tannerite this time"? "Say yes, say yes, say yes, PLEASE".

Had my first son at 40. There's plenty of time for kids as long as your gun is still loaded...
