Greetings! I just heard tonight that it is highly probably I'll be starting a new job soon... with that I'm sure things are going to be a bit crazy as we pack our house and move. Not going too far. Will likely still be in Maryland -- just outside of Washington DC.

The change is going to be great professionally and personally. I'm currently living in one of the best zip codes in the state and I'll be moving to one of the best zip codes in the country. The public high school ranks TOP 5 in the USA.

I'd also be working for a very successful businessman whose company owns several brands I'm sure you've heard of.

I'm not saying goodbye, but if you don't see me online for some reason in the next few weeks you'll know what has happened.

Congrats on the job! You have my condolences when it comes to dealing with the DC traffic, I'm not sure how you guys keep your sanity in that rat race :blink:

I'm not worried about traffic because I won't be in DC... just near it. I'll be in Mo. Co. with Silver! and I can't go a day without coffee.

I lived in Annapolis MD for a while then Falls Church Va. all which convinced me that taking a Pentagon Assignment was not going to be on my list of jobs to get. Then I got a call from HQDA and they wanted me at the Pentagon (I was at Ft Monroe Va which is the Hampton/Newport News/Norfolk area). I said no and NO and HELL NO, stayin here!...I did but still drove to the Puzzle palace about once a week for many years. Got stuck in traffic on the beltway for 11 1/2 hrs once.

I've been stuck on the Beltway for about 2 months ;)

Actually, we are moved and settled in now. I have my computer at home finally set up.

My commute from home to work is about 6 minutes. I just have to make three right turns and stop at a stop sign.

Hopefully I'll be checking in a lot more frequently. I need to get caught up on OleCowboy's renovation project!
