That would be a great price for IR laser capability, maybe I better wait and see how this shakes out. I've drooled for an eotech for a few years already so another probably won't kill me...maybe.
The only downside I can see is the need to zero the lasers independent of one another, a small price to pay for having a good IR capability. Now if only Gen III NODs would get cheaper...
I contacted Bushnell about the issues I have had with the TRS-25. They assured me it was not normal and asked me to send it in so they could either fix or replace it. I'll keep everyone posted on the results.
I've been running one of these Bushnell's as a 45 degree sight for awhile now. Still on the same battery for 3 years. I don't have to deal with the cold living in AZ, but I do deal with Tue heat and bright sun.
The dot at setting 11 is pretty bright and works well. The sight is tough, too. My rifle took a dump down the side of a mountain. Dropped/slid about 30 feet. Boogered my Nikon scope but the Bushnell kept zero.

I found the both eyes open approach to work great at close range when shifting from target to target rapidly, the sight almost disappears leaving just the dot floating there, first time this has worked for me. 10 rounds in under 30 seconds at 50 yards and everything stayed pretty tight. It has a 1/3 cowittness with the riser that came with it, first time I've used a system like this and it worked well. The picture doesn't do the dot justice, it is much more defined in person, 3 moa dot according to the specs. If it holds up I might not even need the Eotech.
Solid review.......sounds like a great budget optic!
Quick update, Bushnell is standing behind the sight and sending a new one.
Down side is they tell me it is back-ordered till June
I see them on the shelf at every Walmart but they can't get me one in over 3 months..
I think Cabellas had a special on some Bushnell optics, same or similar, a while ago, at a very reasonable price.
Guess I should have jumped in and bought one.
Bummer that You are having to wait for a new one.
So after several months wait I got the TRS mounted back on the PM400 last weekend. With just a few clicks it was zeroed and putting rounds into a 10 inch circle painted on steel at 200 yard.
I decided to check the battery life-power-down feature. I left the light on #5 of the 11 settings and put the cover on. The info on the website says the sight will power down when the cover is on. No-Go the battery was dead when I got the rifle out 6 days later. Even without powering down it shouldn't have died in 144 hours
It will be getting cold when I make my trip back home next week so I'll leave the sight out overnight and try it early in the morning to make sure this sight doesn't have the same issue as the first one. I'm beginning to think it's a design flaw, guess I shouldn't expect AimPoint performance for 1/5th the price.
