I had the muzzle on Mine AR10 threaded, a muzzle brake installed, it turned out perfect.
The brake I had has a hole in it for a set-screw, I installed the set-screw but I also dropped in a piece of 14 gauge wire into the hole before tightening the set-screw, that should preserve the threads from the set-screws sharpness.
You know Marty, that's an ingenious idea! I've always used either nylon or brass tipped set screws, which aren't always available, but dropping in a copper plug accomplishes the same thing! :twothumbs:
