Yes, I need the rails to mount backup sights, tac light, etc.
The couple I have seen run over $250 plus, seem a bit much for milled metal.
Maybe I am wrong.

Get a chunk of aluminum and start carving one out for yourself, you will quickly see why machined parts are not $20. Are you going to have the ability to install it yourself?
This Midwest Industries tube would be a good option.
I've used the Midwest Industries 4 rail drop,-in for my bipod and backup sights and I think its great but my next 2 upgrades will be to find the full floating guard against I like and a set of 35mm scope rings cause what I've got are too tall.
I keep thinking something different than the stock round forearm would be nice, I look at the options and the pricing, but, with a non-removable carry handle, it seems that the round stock guards is the best option.
I did get a couple of them add on short rails, but, the mounting holes are off so I will try and trade them at a gun show or something.
I thought they would be handy, mounted to the underside, for attaching a flashing light. :busted: :rotfl:
After doing some searching. I decided on Midwest Industry's handguard. Ordered it along with the low profile gas block. As soon as the armorer put it on, along with a threaded muzzle break, I will post some pictures. I didn't want to spend that much but what the heck, it is just money. :twocents:
That will be a very nice addition to Your AR10.
I had the muzzle on Mine AR10 threaded, a muzzle brake installed, it turned out perfect.
The brake I had has a hole in it for a set-screw, I installed the set-screw but I also dropped in a piece of 14 gauge wire into the hole before tightening the set-screw, that should preserve the threads from the set-screws sharpness.
