Very true! I've got a box of those "bargains". Someday I'll build an airsoft rifle! I've considered it part of my "education". Check feedback and ask questions for sure!

That is something that does worry me. Its one thing for me to pickup a Chinese part that I have inspected and it meets my functional req, but to buy sight unseen so to speak other than some fuzzy pic, let the buyer beware...

I have a black FF tube assembly with rails from my RSAUM sitting here but it has a cosmetic gouge on the barrel nut. It could be cleaned up with a file and black paint.

If you installed it the front rail section would have to be re indexed and the only way it would fit on a non RSAUM is if you have a low profile gas block.

Course a little work with a hacksaw would give you a free float tube whatever length you want.

Does your RSAUM have a carbine gas system?
Should be a space between the tube and the gas block, should use a rifle length gas system.

Makes no sense.......

The tube also indexes off the barrel nut, if your gas tube installs, the tube will be indexed. Same for the rail section, hardware positions it properly.

RSAUM gas tube is 3 inches longer than rifle. A railed gasblock will not fit under the railed section.

Your assuming all AR-10 upper receivers are threaded with the exact same start and end point. There are also a lot more than 4 positions for a gas tube to fit through. Any others that the four and your front rail section won't align.

So the RSAUM uses a longer rags system.........interesting, learned something new.

As for the tube, it has an index pin. The pin inserts into a hole in the barrel nut. When the barrel nut is installed, and the gas tube installed, the barrel nut WILL be properly positioned to index the hand guard tube.

Have you ever had one off?

Just this one and I didn't give it much thought since I had no plans on using it, took a closer look and see the index pin, learn something new every day.

If you really want to learn about the AR-10TU

www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=345656614

Best price I've seen on one in a long while.

Would be worth buying even if you were to re-barrel and bolt to 308.
