Good stuff. Wonder what the pressure readings are though. After looking at it on the chronograph and looking what I would have to do to mimic that velocity in reloads, it makes me a little nervous to be pumping that through my rifles routinely. It has got to be up there. I need to go dig out my notebook and find some of the velocity readings. They were up there.

No, not really. The .308 Win comes in with a higher muzzle velocity, with the same projectile weight, than comparable 7.62 cartridges. The M80 is spec'ed at 2550, the M118LR comes in at 2580fps. Federal Premium with a 175r .308 Match loads come in at 2600.
Interesting,........Lake City is a mass produced cartridge. I have yet to see any over 2700. No concern for me. I do find FGMM to be a bit more accurate.

It's common knowledge that most privately owned chronographs can't be used to determine the exact or true velocity of ammo you shoot. The only thing they can be used for is to show trends, as in velocity spread, etc. So, if one guy says he is getting 2500fps from his chrono and another 2700fps, it means absolutely nothing. If your chrono is showing one type of ammo has a 7 FPS spread and another type has a 100fps spread between each shot, the assumption is the 7fps spread should shoot a tighter group. This is NOT always the case though since I've seen wider spread ammo group tighter.
