ArmaLite Inc. proudly introduces the new AR-31. The AR-31 shares the design and the accuracy of our highly acclaimed AR-30A1 bolt-action rifles, but with three MAJOR differences: the AR-31 is chambered in .308 Winchester, it is a short action version of the AR-30A1, and it accepts Armalite’s AR-10B double-stack magazines. That means you can use 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 round mags with the AR-31. For sub-MOA accuracy, think ArmaLite’s AR31!

I like the interchangeable magazine idea as well but, with no real difference in weight it would have to be substantially more accurate than my AR-10 to warrant the cash. I'm not sure I'm a good enough shooter to even utilize what my AR-10 can do so it would most likely be a waste for me. With the addition of this rifle and the SPR Mod 1 now missing from the lineup I'm hoping this isn't a trend for Armalite, I want more AR type rifles to choose from, they build them so well it seems a shame not to expand that line. :twocents:

LOL JT a problem most everyone faces. There was a time in life I shot expert with nearly anything I could get my hands on. I grew up when scopes were a true luxury, there were no cheap scopes and even the bottom of the Weaver line was costly, so most of us just used iron sights and that meant what came on the gun and those were often crude. Guns came with no MOA spec, you bought it, you got a problem, thats your problem. But ammo was cheap and we shot and shot and shot...what we learned was that boat paddle we had shot high and wide every single time and often you could not adjust the sights enough to comp for it. So you comped with kentucky windage and it worked.
But time and years have now taken their toll on the eyeballs and my goal now is to just hit the pie pan that is close enough...
