The front sight base/gas block of my 10NMFA is not aluminum. If I mount a sight on it I expect it to stay put. I might mount a light or bipod on the floating handguard, but I will not expect it to hold zero, nor will I expect the handguard to touch the barrel.
That covers everything that I want the equipment to do. Am I missing something?
