AR10T in .338
I'm new to rifles period. Going to the range next week for the first time :woohoo:
Just wondering if anyone had more in-depth info other then what the manual give. Possible a step by step video for proper maintenance and Lubrication.
Any info would be greatly appreciated
I'm a big believer in Slip 2000 EWL and Royal Purple gun lube. As a rule of thumb, on an AR style rifle non-moving parts get a light coat of lube. Moving parts get a heavy coat. ARs run best when wet. ("Wet as a cheerleader on Prom Night.") Be sure to lube the bolt and bolt carrier. Also, work a few drops into the upper receiver and receiver extension. A couple of drops on your trigger pins and springs will do wonders for the trigger pull. We used to call it the "trigger job in a jar."
Rock river suggest use CLP in their rifles. I think it works great. I "scrub" the disassembled bolt assembly and upper to remove the grunge allow to soak for at least 15mins. Wipe down clean with patches and lube up with CLP. your manual with tell you all the points of lubrication/cleaning needed.

I use a heavy handgun slide grease on my bolt. It has always worked well. I also use lots and lots of Rem Oil all over the rifle.
As requested....sorry..been busy....
I recommend
Mil-Comm Products
...as by their web site...they are endorsed by ArmaLite...and I use them for all my weapons...only use the standard oil for Pretty polish...LOL

and videos as requested....
these are of an earlier set...use is in the user...but don't go nuts...it is not needed...my weapons spend months in the safe...and that is when the video was shot...just before winter....
