just joined the site. came to get some info on various .308 platforms. I've been looking at DPMS SASS and now the AR10T models. The AR10NM may be a bit of a dream haha. Anyway, I'm curious to hear opinions on these rifles if anyone owns them. Any reasons one shouldn't buy any of these? I'm looking to do primary target shooting out past 500 yards maybe out to 800 or 1,000 with practice. Haven't done much hunting the past decade but may get back into it. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks, J.
I don't have any experience with either of those Armalite models but my basic 20 inch flat top is everything and more than I thought it would be in the accuracy department. Everything I have fed it from 143 gr. tracers up to 180 Winchester silvertip has been accurate, I was suprised to see how deformed the soft points were, I won't run any more of those.Seven guys, age 12 to 70, have all had the same results, the rifle makes you look good! I will admit sometimes I find myself wishing I had a SASS and then others it's the carbine in my dreams. Someday they will both be mine, problem is the rifle I have is so fun to shoot I keep spending all my extra cash on ammo!
Good luck, I'm sure you will be pleased with either one.

Ended up having to have wrist surgery so med bills have zapped my funds. Haven't been able to choose one yet but I guess at least I have more time to decide. Hoping to pick one of them up after the holiday winds down.
