My only experience with Robar's NP3 has been on the bolt and internals of my M40A1 clone. It's worn well and shows no signs of failing.
NP3 has a reputation for being "soft". Not sure what that means...it stays put, provides lubricity, and aids in smooth operation of the weapon. It will wear smooth and shiny in areas of metal to metal contact, but like I said, it stays put.

Thanks for the reply. I posted this on AR15.com too and several people said it works and stays on their bolt carriers too. I am probably going to do this for my upper receiver and BCG after the new year. I have a Mike Rock 5R barrel on order now and plan on getting the guys over at GA to massage it into a decent tack driver.
