338 300 rsaum AR10? was created by aaron
has anyone tried this wildcat in an AR10? seems like it would pack more punch than 338 federal and since armalite already makes a 300 rsaum getting a bolt shouldnt be a problem.

ArmaLite does not make the .300 RSAUM any more.

They dropped it from the line up due to declining sales.

For their AR-10 line up they have:

.308
.243
.260
.338 Federal

yes I see that they no longer make them but it is possible to get a bolt face large enough to accept the cartridge. it would have to be a build your own deal, but i may soon have a spare 338 cal barrel and a man can dream cant he.

you can still buy the .300 rsaum bolts, I have a couple laying around. I will look up where I ordered mine from.

as far as 338 rsaum in ar10 I believe it has been done, its not stretching the envelope that much.

get a bolt, the right barrel extension, barrel and find someone with a reamer.

You can also just order the reamer from pacific gauge yourself and let a smith use it to make your barrel.
