New member here and I initially searched the web for as much info i could find when i was originally looking for an AR15 and found a FNAR that would fit what im looking for better with its .308 capacity, and the price was great for what it does....
But then i saw the Armalite AR10T.
I wanted easy disassembly (FNAR is a pain) and i will be using it for target (4-500yds) and general use.
But it may delay my Leopold scope purchase. So Vortex and Super Sniper may be another option?
First off,Welcome to the Forum.
If it tkes a little longer to put together Your "Dream Rifle" and purchasing the optics that works best for You,then the wait is well worth it.
If You have not yet fired Your AR10T then You have not yet experienced the addiction to these rifles.
If You have fire Your Armalite then You know what I am talking about and no further explanation would be necessary.
I have owned Mine AR10 for several years and that is My goto weapon of choice and I am sure You will not be dissapointed.
Most of My shooting is in the prairie dog towns so firing at various ranges is a almost dailey thing.
PS,I am surprized that no one else has jumped in to the welcoming committee before this.
Im addicted. Its a shame whem a grown man waits till his family goes to sleep, to get on the computer to chat about his rifle instead of looking at porn. These rifles are very addictive.
Gator, you have taken your first step...in admitting you are an AR addict...  :woohoo:
As with the others, I welcome you..and to add a note..as I always say...are we ever really done building our rifles...I think not.

Guess I'll admit to it myself. Order/bought everything right from work. I just don't get parts shipped to work, afraid of losing them. Now every time my wife sees that little brown truck pull up, she says it's for you. Life's a B---h. Hey, just keep her gifts coming in. It's all good.

Hey, I'm a newby, too. Not to ARs, but new to AR10s. I gotta get one in 260 ! Yeah, it's addictive ! As for your scope choices; I have a Vortex 6.5x20x50 Viper with mil dots and I love it ! I will say , though, it doesn't have a lot of eye relief. A friend just bought one with the 40 obj. lens and I can't see much difference. Both are fine scopes. He's also the reason I'm lusting for an AR 10; he has both 308 and 260 by DPMS and both are super accurate! Hope I did this posting right..Charles
