Im currently in the market for my 1st AR10 rifle and I found recently a older Armalite AR10 match grade rifle for $1700. It has a full floating handguard (smooth handguard ) and a 1:11 twist barrel.... Also barrel has been broken in to Armalite specs. Is this rifle accurate? Is $1700 too much?
I just purchased a new in box AR-10T (Match barrel and trigger) for $1650 a few weeks ago. Unless the AR you are looking at has fired very few rounds, has some significant upgrades and some magazines the price is too high IMO. Visit the Armalite website and you can get an idea of the MSRP for the various configuarations, then go to the online gune dealers and see what they are being discounted and selling for new. In most cases, $200 off of MSRP pretty easily.
