Recently purchased a AR-10 Super SASS was created by Redneck_Riot
Hey all,

I just bought a Super SASS rifle and really like this beauty, but after careful research I am still unable to locate the barell manufacturer and would like to know who is the maker.

I have read the Armalite history and it does not disclose this information,nor is it found anywhere on this site, I cannot see a logical reason why this is kept so tight lipped and if anyone knows I would greatly appreciate it if you would disclose it to me.

Also, would like opinions on how Armalite national match 2 stage trigger currently istalled from factory in this rifle stacks up against the competition? I am seriously debating a geissele as a replacement because I do not like the take up of the first stage, and it seems to be getting rave reviews from all who have used it.

Have you emailed Armalite and ask them who makes the barrels? I bug them all the time with questions and they have always answered me. Not always the answer I want but an answer.

ok fellas I finally got a responce from Armalite, I will post my original Email to customer service then the official customer service responce.


To whom it may concern,



I purchased a AR-10 Super SASS rifle from your company and would like to know who manufactured the barrel? I have done some research and have not been able to locate this information online. Also I am aware that the Super SASS is suppressor ready, if that is the case which manufacturer is it already adapted for?

I cant believe it either! Apparently whomever the Super SASS barrel is manufactured by is a very closely held company secret, I am to say the least dissatisfied with this reply as I can not find a single logical reason as to why Armalite regards it's barrel manufacturer as a secret from the customer who already purchased their product over the competition.

Would love to get a responce on this from our local sponsor Uncle Armalite.


It's not that serious an issue to me, just an irritation.
