Need help,
Like the post says, looking for the actual weight of the ar 10 a4 carbine. The site says 9.6 lbs and the 10t carbine is 8.6. I thought stainless was heavier than chrome lined. Looking to go as light as possible for hunting, will be carring this all day.
Also, is the accuracy better than they claim with the A4 carbine?
Think of the steel as the aprox the same weight. Very little difference. I think the heavier weight listed is more inline. These things aint light. The new Rem AR30 may be what your looking for. The numbers are between a 30-30 and a 308 and it is on the smaller lighter frame.MSH
According to the UPS scales at my dealer my A4 weighed 7.4 pounds without magazine. I wanted a .308 carbine that weighed 10 lbs. or less with scope and loaded magazine. I realized when I picked it up that it did not weigh 9 lbs. as advertized.
