Here is a picture of rounds 31,32,&33 at 100 yards. I installed the Trijicon 5x20x50 Accupoint (mil-dot amber) last night. I was prone on uneven ground. Once I get used to the rifle and it is broken in, I think it will be a nice shooter. I still need to tweak the scope adjustment up one click. I was trying to have my point of impact 1" high at 100 yards. Right now it is approx. 3/4" high. I am already looking forward to my next session.

Thanks. The ribs in the card board were actually vetical in the stand so the group was at 12 0'clock. To get a decent picture with the tape measure I had to take the picture the way you see it. I am looking forward to my next session and the possibility of that elusive "one hole" group.
Beautiful. Keep it up, you look like you're getting a handle on it. I would be very proud of that grouping. I'm almost done with my own personal build of my SASS and would be very happy with first round grouping like that. My scope is the last thing on my list I'm waiting for. USO is just about finished with mine so I'll be able to start on my 100yd sight in then it's off to the 200 yd, and so on. My goal is the 500 yd shot. Lofty I know, but the weapon has been built to be more capable than I am. So it's up to me to be a better shooter. I live close to Camp Perry here in Ohio and I'm hoping to be able to shoot at this world reknown range. Keep us informed on your progress.
Thanks for the reply. Let us know how your progress is coming. I have some friends that shoot in the yearly matches at Camp Perry and have always wanted to make the trip.
I am like many novice high power shooters, looking, hoping, practicing, and praying to shoot that elusive one hole group.
Sweet grouping....I'm jealous...I can do one shot sub MOAs, but grouping my shots like that is difficult at best...I guess it's me..Nice shooting my friend...Keep it up and you will be ready for competition in no time....Oh wait, never mind...

excuse me fellas, may I ask what you all paid for your SASS? I am currently looking for the best deal and then going to buy one very soon. would greatly appreciate any insights.
I know I got the deal of the century on mine as I paid $2200.00 with an Armalite one piece scope mount and a Trijicon 3x9x40 accu-point. However, it did have three rounds through it. I switched out the 3x9 and installed a 5.5x20x50 Trijicon accu-point. You can spend as much as you have, as people will be glad to take your money. Realistically, I would have paid $2500.00 just for the gun. Look around and be patient. My gun does not have the bells and whistles, but it will shoot 1/4 to 3/8" MOA groups all day long. I shoot this gun out to 800-900 yards. Beyond that I use a different gun with a much bigger bullet.
Figure out what your practical application will be and that will help you make an informed decision. Hope this helps.
