Hello, i'm new to this website... I am asking if anyone knows where i can find a bolt for my armalite ar-10? See i was shooting some hot rounds through it and well my bolt broke... I guess the round was so hot that the recoil tried forcing my bolt open before it could unlock, breaking the bolt into three pieces, then when the gases came down the gas tube it tried to open the bolt and carrier just locking it tighter than tight... It also blew my mag in about 6 pieces... I did take it to a gunsmith and he told me that the barrel and the upper did not expand any just that my bolt and retainer clip were toast... If anyone knows something please can you let me know, I am on about 3 to 4 waiting lists and it does not look good... Thankyou all for reading this....

you might try www.762sass.com or www.dsgarms.com for a new bolt. If your need a new bolt carrier group you might try www.gunbroker.com I hope this helps

Armalite has them in stock now. Just listed as back in stock.

I doubt the events as you stated them. Hot loads push primers out and result in other malfunctions like FTF, FTE...broken bolt leads me to believe miss assembly, poorly matched parts (head space) material defect...

The hot gases don't even touch the bolt until the bullet passes the gas port at the end of the barrel.
