I am building an AR 10 Armalite with B series target upper and B series lower. I just found a bolt , now trying to find a B series Mag...have seen some on gunbroker and ask the question A series or B series, but no replys, I know they are made from the M 14, but they need to be re worked, How can you tell A series from B series by looking at them. It appears that the B series has a square hole on one side. I s this true? I've found 10 rd mags at Brownells but I would like to have a 20 round.

I posted a tech bulletin to this thread addressing that problem (just above this post).
I have a B-New genuine Armalite 10 round AR-10 B mag and a gas block bayonet lug for the AR-10B at this link. The 10 rounder is nice for compact storage and initial deployment, hunting, and shooting at a bench (it doesn't get in the way). I have a 10 round for each of my AR-10s for that reason. See this post:
Hey, thanks Charlie I finally have everything I need for my build....I have looked all over the internet to find that answer. You do have a good price on the 10 rd mag how do we do business? Thanks again, Ron
As with all things internet you need to be sure that you're dealing with a reputable person, and I believe that there are a couple of people here who will vouch for me. Siscowet bought the two 20rd mags listed in the post and another fellow bought an AR-10BNMF that I had for sale a couple of months ago.
Once you're satisfied that I'm honest shoot me a PM and we'll arrange arrange payment and shipping.
Charlie, I just looked at what I have on order and I have a 10 rd on order...thought about cancelling order but by the time I pay shipping its a wash.. Thanks again Ron
