I've never shot one, just fat fingered them at gun shows from time to time. Looks to be well built. One feature I liked was the milled-in QD sockets on the lower receiver. The piston system looked very similar to LWRCi's. It's built on the KAC pattern, so it'll accept P-Mags. By all accounts, it seems to be a pretty accurate carbine.
I read the S and W post, good infomation,thank you. I owned a Sterling AR180 in 1980, paid $425 for it and ordered the original removable scope mount and a parts kit from the old Armalite. The Scope mount actually did return to zero if you took it off and put it back on. Many claim to do that but few actually do. I regret selling it, and I heard they reintroduced, but I am not a fan of polymer lowers in rifles. That weight low down, makes a difference in shootability. Well maybe they will listen.
