I've recently purchased my first armalite ar-10 and I'm looking for a free floating mid length half quad rail for it. I've seen the ones that RRA make and I really like them but from what I've been told they won't fit an armalite. Does anyone know if they fit or anyone else makes them that fit? Again, I'm new to an AR so I don't really know what my options are or the best place to buy them from. Thanks, JT

I've owned several ar10s and I would say stay with armalite. Ive always had goodluck with them. I know they can be hard to find sometimes but take your time and search around and you will find them.Did you check armalite site.

The AR-10 free float like they put on the 10T model can accommodate 4 rails but not full length, if you can do the 225 there asking they make this rail model( www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=1070...f9-ad41-94c786b875b1 ) that i am looking at now but i am just a few bucks shy since i got my upper last week.

Over all they have a good list of in house free floats: www.armalite.com/Categories.aspx?Categor...f9-ad41-94c786b875b1 and as i said you might keep in mind that the slats in the round 80 dollar tubes will accommodate rail inserts also sold by Armalite. ;)

That is one thing about the ArmaLite AR-10, only a hand full of companies make parts for them....As for the Free Floats...Yes ArmaLite but those Railed Hand guards are manufactured by another company...at least to my knowledge, others include ...
Daniel Defense
JP Enterprise
LaRue..most expensive...
there maybe one or two others but those are the top ones.
Now I have heard rumors that MI is developing a Free Float HG for the AR-10s,
to what I have heard it will be based on the New Gen 2 SS series...
I will see if I can get some details as to if it is true and possibly when they might be coming out...
If I may ask...what model of AR-10 do you have...there might be an alternative which will suffice depending on your needs...and uses.
