It sucks that you're having so much trouble with this. To be fair, it IS an election year, and if history repeats itself, anything having to do with the AR-type rifles is going to get progressively harder to find (and more expensive) until the election is over and the dealers have a chance to re-stock. It might do you well to hold off until it's all over, and stockpile your cash until then. I don't believe Obama's coming back for a second go-round, so I think our second amendment will hold out...this time.
Fair has nothing to do with life man but i get what your saying, i could get a standard AR-10 carb upper but thats not what i want so i will hold out for the one i had my mind set on.
As for Obuma's sorry @$$, don't doubt the hippy's ability to not give up on a lost cause.
I had the same problem with my lower. I was able to get my upper then had some mishaps getting a lower (all my fault btw). I personally contacted Armalite and they told me that all assembled lowers were out of stock and they had no idea when they would have more and that it could be six days, weeks, or even months. I had my FFL place an order anyway. I had my lower in 3 weeks. My adive is to go ahead and place the order and stash your money away. I am betting that Armalite will come through pretty quick!
Well i posted this 4 weeks ago and since then have said ta hell with it, got myself an AR-10 carbine upper and have started the build up to fit my style and couldn't be happier.

BMS
glad you aquired that upper you've been looking for..
I'm afraid the firearm industry is going through the same instability as 4 yrs ago.
Defensive stuff is not staying on shelves long and soon ammo will start doing the same. I hesitate to make such statements because panic-buying hurts everybody, hoarders will gobble-up ammo. Firearms manufacturers struggle with production runs where a certain model is produced exclusively until a certain number is reached. Then a new model is produced exclusively. Dealers are still waiting for Walther production of a popular 9mm model (since Christmas)
Marlin leverguns have been short supply for a long time too.
People think dealers are making a killing but not true, we struggle to maintain inventory in a market difficult to predict.
