I have an Armalite AR-10 .338 federal and would like recommendations from anyone about the Trijicon AccuPoint TR23-2G Riflescope. I'm looking towards the green dot (mildot). I would appreciate any opions

I like the specs of the TR22-2: AccuPoint 2.5-10x56 Riflescope Mil-Dot Crosshair with Amber Dot, but I've never actually seen one. I live in podunk, and most of the scopes in the stores here are extremely low line.

Trijicon got in the news a couple of years ago because they put biblical references on their scopes, and our guys use a lot of ACOGs. I think CNN was the newsreaders got their panties in a wad over it. That's what put Trijicon on my radar.

Anything that pisses off the hippies is worth looking at.

I wish I knew anything about their accupoint line. I don't recall ever hearing anything bad, but they are not common enough to really hear much at all.

ACOGS on the other hand, I will swear by as the most rugged scopes on this planet. Just awesome.

I have a couple of buddies that used them in the Real World and swear by them. I thought about getting one purely on their recommendation.
