Hi, just found the sight, glad to be here.

I just ordered a new ar10a4b 20" from a guy I know who is a direct dealer from armalite. they told him June or July would be the estimated shipping date. So he found one at a distributer he goes through. I got it for $1200.00 out the door.

My question is do all a4's take 3 party mags or could I have gotten on older on that does not. It should be here Friday and I wanted to order a few mags, I like the pmags for my ar-15 but am unsure if the 7.62 pmags will work in this Armalite.

Only the new AR-10 'A' models take the other mags. An AR10 A4 'B' model will take armalite mags. That is all I know about it. Didn't even know they were shipping out A's yet.

Are you SURE this is NOT the old model Armalite?

If this is an B model, it will ONLY accept Armalite mags.
If you ordmoered an A model, it is the only model that accepts PMags

Ok well I picked up my rifle today, so without any other mags how can I tell if I have the new or old model.

The A's are supposed to ship w/ Pmags according to Armalite. If it ain't a Pmag its probably a B.

The Armalite mags work great and I found them at Buds for a litle over $26

Damn! Thats better than the price I got from Armalite when I bought 5, about $30 each after shipping and that was on the Vetrans day sale! Oh well, I don't forsee needing more as well built as they are. You won't regret your purchase, it is a great rifle. Accurate is an understatement!
