Wondering what you can tell me about my new toy. I picked it up this week; I have always wanted an Armalite AR10T! I found one locally for sale here in Colorado and couldn't be happier. Previous owner claims there have only been 30 rounds down the pipe, 25 by Armalite and based on the condition of the gun, I believe him. He said he sent it to Armalite for trigger work and other upgrades/improvements. It's nice!
I just can't find much info on it and can't seem to find a whole lot of info about the 24" barrel either.
Can you subject matter experts help me out? Picture attached....
I'm not 100% certain but I'm thinking your best best would be to contact armalite. They should be able to give you the details about what it left the factory with and what service work was done.
I've always thought armalite should have included a birth certificate with factory rifles, to better track the different generations and configurations floating around out there.
Can't argue contacting Armalite....they can get specific for you. One thing I did learn, that Armalite used a variety of barrel mfg's during certain years of production. Your upper "looks" like mine.
My barrel is a Lothar Walther 24" stainless match polygonal rifled barrel, twist is @ 1-11.25. I am extremely happy with the performance of this gun...and accuracy using match ammo has been excellent.

OP, remove your handguard and lok near the receiver at 12 o'clock
there will be some numbers stamped on the barrel, Armalite will
need them to nail down the manufacturer.
Mine was marked 1 05/08, 1 is a designator for Wilson, 05/08 is the
barrel's manufacture date
So what year did they stop making the 24" barrel? I don't see the 24" as even an option on the Armalite web site?

Thanks for the feedback fellas! I took it to the range Sunday for a test drive. All I can say is wow, was that fun! I am in love with this gun! The trigger work Armalite did on the trigger made it such a please to shoot. The gun is way more accurate than I am. I am in the market for .308 reloading dies. I am going to use it for both my hunting and pleasure gun.
