Well...unfortunately we have had a "diversion of the norm" around here...almost lost our Brother in Law to a nasty car accident, and a slab leak in our bathroom plumbing has made quite a mess of things.
I did not have the chance to post this range card up since I shot this new to me AR10T.
This particular AR10T was for sale on another forum, and was within a reasonable distance for me to do a FTF transfer. I purchased it from another public safety person...so I knew the dun was most likely taken care of. After a quick inspection...the gun was perfect.
Anyhow...
This Armalite has the 24" Lothar Walther barrel on it, and right now only has iron sight's. The gun did come with a nice LaRue 30mm scope mount...but I have not mounted optics on it. The gun was sighted in at 200 yards per the seller.
I went to the range...set up at 50 yards...sent a few down range...confirmed she was still on...and moved over to the 100 yard range on the all clear. I was really trying to get the SKS on, because we were really into the pigs...and I didn't want to tote this around. Once I get the carbine upper...this gun will get much easier to carry in the woods.
Once I got set up at the 100 yd range, I gave the gun a quick "wipe down"...pulled the two pins, ran a bore snake down the barrel, wet the BCG, ect.
This is with FGMM 168 gr ammo... the first round was probably from the gun being wet from the bore snake...that's just a guess...but it was the first round.
Anyhow, I'm extremely happy with my group...when I get some glass on her...I imagine this will tighten up dramatically.

One of my buddies has a lease in N Florida...and they just raked the property...in preparation for planting a hybrid pine tree this spring. He told me that shot's out to 500-800 yards is now possible...and I just picked up a 16" carbine upper from the forum....so hopefully I will get the chance to get it tuned in...and a tug on some bacon before it's 100 degrees out again.
First things first...need to get the bathroom back together...and the bro in law on his feet. In the meantime...might get some trips to the range done.

Well I hope that's a decent grouping on irons Not getting too much feedback, so I'm guessing...this is my first match upper.
On a side note I want to thank Bob Downey for being an excellent person to "deal with". He had a real nice 16" Armalite complete upper for sale on the forum... I asked after the posting was "deleted" if the upper was still for sale. Long story short...the upper is married up to my AR10T lower...They fit perfectly together...and I can't wait to hit the range.
THANK YOU BOB, your a great person to work with....thank you for the patience.

Florida hog elimination is no joke. Culled my fair share when I was down there and still didn't make an impact. The best part about it, is that a light to medium semi auto really is the best choice for doing a bacon run. Would love to do it again.
That carbine upper looks great on your lower Ken.
Use it in good health.
I think you will like using the rifle stock with the full-on buffer on a carbine upper.
It seems to be a comfortable fit for many and I've heard several folks that went that way and have nothing but, good to say about that combo.
I hope your Brother in Law gets well soon.
Good hunting and stay safe,
Bob

Thanks Bob, they finally closed his leg up last week. I would post a pic or two... it's probably not for everyone...and I don't want to air his business on the net.
Nevertheless...he is great spirited...and if anyone can overcome this...he will.
Colt...thanks...there are a lot of pigs down here...right now the bathroom in our house is being remodeled...so were stuck here trying to get it finished out. Meanwhile...my hunting buddy is on his way to camp today to get some more bacon. :S Hopefully I can make it up in February and smack a few with this new 16" upper. If I do...you know I will be showing em off here.
