Width of the front sight base

Width of the front sight base was created by 6-Sigma
Does anyone know the width of the front sight base, or can someone measure it and report. I am going to cut my barrel for a gas block and do not have that measurement.

Can you be more specific....Is this an ArmaLite....and Why are you "Cutting" The barrel...to fit a gas block.... :ohmy:

I am machining a new barrel from a blank. I am just curious about the AR-10's front sight/gas block, I do not have one to measure the width/length . This is the first AR-10 build so I have no dims to work off, I have plenty of gas blocks for the AR-15 I could use, but in the case of ever replacing it with a "OEM" front sight/gas block I need to make sure the flat is long enough.
