Lately I've been wondering if it's safe to shoot 9mm Makarov ammo out of a Ruger P95 and a Beretta M9, and if I can expect any issues to pop up. I don't -think- pressure would be an issue, since both are rated for 9mm Luger +P/9mm NATO respectively, but I am concerned about feed/extraction issues.

Sure, its only 1mm diff, close enogh :censored:
Somebody give that guy a few beers and lets watch the fun, what is he thinking??
I does say on the box, something to the affect of "only use in firearms chambered for this ammo"..etc.
Then the instruction manual for the weapon itself usually says something similar about using only ammo made for it.
Until checking the specifications, I'd have been surprised that a 9x18 Makarov would even chamber in a 9x19 Luger firearm.* It seems like the base diameters are actually close enough, even if the 9x18 has a larger rim.
Bullet diameters though? The Luger is .355" while the Makarov is .363". No way, I thought. ...until you consider the lower pressure the Makarov is loaded to. It might actually be safe in some firearms - if you could get it to load from the magazine.
...
That's not to say I would do it in anything except an emergency situation.

Keep on reading it Lizzie, your knowledge is a nice addition to the forum.
Let me add that the Rusky's and others out there have weapons that can shoot US Ammo but we cannot shoot there ammo. Such as the .51 cal MG, Sniper rifle and no doubt others...
