OUCH! For you, Congrats to him. Talking to a LGS owner, right now the decline in sales on firearms since the 2012-13 buying craze, is so severe, that manufacturers are doing anything they can to generate sales. Colt is in trouble, and might not be the only one. I would not be surprised if the Pentagon decides to replace the M9 pistol and the M4 carbine simply to keep the US based firearms industry solvent. You might very well see a good number of manufacturers go out of business in 2015 if they don't have the necessary cash reserves to weather the decline. You are probably going to see more good deals as they try to generate cash flow. The used rifle market right now is a buyers market as well.
