I just had the privileged of viewing the National Sporting Arms Museum at the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield Mo. I spent about three hours looking and think I'll go back for more tomorrow. I would highly recommend a visit if your in the area, well worth the time!

Even with the historic firearms like the Lewis and Clark air rifle there was one that impressed me above the rest. In a display case at the front door were two crossed rifles, a reproduction flint lock musket and an ArmaLite AR-10! It was a basic AR-10A4 with green furniture, a detachable carry handle and front sight with a large Prism red dot sight mounted on the handle. Napoleon Bonaparte's engraved and gold inlaid 16 gauge flint lock was in good company! :twothumbs:

My son was there about 3 weeks ago, all thought he's not into guns like me, he was very impressed and the history of them is what gets him going  Guess that is now going to give me a reason to go visit soon

Working with and who ever will listen, really been having good luck with the shooting interest of the younger generation. We are probably up 200% on new younger memberships.
I'm thinking that since Cabela's was originally started in Ne they should now give back some.
Once again I do have to give credit to the CMP for what they have done. :usa: :twothumbs:

Had my Grandson with me at the museum, if telling him a hundred times not to touch the glass is any indication he was real interested :)
He liked the idea that grandpa had a few of the same guns at home and someday they could be his. :usa:
