What unit? (Artillery?) Is that an issue tent? one man or?
I came in and we carried ½ of a Army Duck canvas tent and you had to buddy up with someone so that made 2 of you in a tent that was not big enough for even 1. The only time we ever had to do it was in Basic training and what a miserable experience it was...never forget it.
Being an avid outdoor guy all my life and living in Texas where we have LOTS of named creeks that only see water when it rains HARD!
We had setup in an AO and I told my buddy that we need to find high ground as we had setup in a creek...WHAT creek? LOL, you will know if it rains. He said ok, I am from the city, guess you know what you are talking about.
YEP, it rained, in fact I storm blew in and washed us away, 2 guys drowned, CO got relieved along with some Sgt's, but a few of us stayed dry...

Saw show on TV short while ago, some guy restores older units and has so much business he doen't know what to do.
Many of his customers have older cars (40's - 60's) and they want something to tow behind their car to shows...
I too remember the Army Duck canvas tents of the early 70's. To say they were roomy and comfortable would not be in their description....But the "fragrance" of those tents is still with me.....especially when wet! :rotfl:
Basically picked this one up for nothing one owner and all the used it for was a trip from Cali to Nebraska and it's been stored most of it's life indoors. The only thing I've had to do is install a new fridge, everything else is original and needs no restoration other than a dust buster  Think I saw the same show, so now I'm not sure what to do with it? make a few bucks or get a few, thought it would make a good permanent Deer shack
