I'm just glad I could save it! It was covered in garage dirt for at least 50yrs you could not even see the writing on it and I doubt that anyone even knew what it was, and heck I really didn't know till I got her home and cleaned up. I think it's a French round that we produced for them in WWI the plant in N.J. blew exploded for 3 days, then some one decided to profit from it and picked up these and other shells had them printed and sold as souvenirs.

Commemorating US WWI Victory, this US produced 75mm Projectile is marked "VICTORY Nov. 11, 1918 75mm Shell" on the body, and "They shall beat your swords into plowsheds" on the driving band. It stands 10 1/2" tall and is in very good condition. Sold: $75
