OK, my old but very good ATN Black Lion, 5.56 BDC w/lighted reticle scope has gone blind on me so I need to replace:
It was a good scope, sorry its gone to scope heaven.
It was my prime scope on my AR 15.
Do not have to repeat with same same, so all options are on the table.
Cost is ABSOLUTELY NO OBJECT, but then that is me speaking not my wife and she told my big $ buck on my 3.5x35 ACOG was our only big dollar buy on scopes. She suggested somewhere in the $3xx range. Anyhow will be at the NRA Convention in April so will have a room full of stuff to pick from and well it is my birthday so I might have some latitude.
Looking for suggestions. Most likely this will end up on my wifes Ruger Ranch Rifle 5.56 HOG gun or my AR 15. THINK (?) I want to keep it 3x-4x, like the BDC but does keep it off the AR10, also like the lighted reticle.
Am open to ALL thoughts and views????? (links to recommendations appreciated)
Lib., You are absolutely correct. Nikon's Spot On Ballistic Program will give you all the info you need to air out one of Nikon's BDC reticle scope's. I know some of the 12X and up scopes are on a Promo right now too. In Spot On you can expand the BDC reticles to get even more accurate shooting data. I routinely print that, laminate it and tape it to my stock or tuck it inside the ammo holder on my stock. Simple to use and free. You can even access it from Apple/Android phones now too.
But far from making the call, hoping for more input, but things seemed to have dried up on here. I know I have not been on much the past 6 weeks due to other projects taking all my time, but I have noticed lots of threads, few replies???
JT - I was in Wally World yesterday and spotted a Bushnell AR 1x4 (149.00). I though the same as you they have stepped up there game recently, time will tell if its just cosmetic.
