Marty you live in one of the few areas with a low enough population base that you probably could sustain yourself and not run out of wild game.

This is true. Also, there are a lot of places a man can get into that few would follow.
But, as stated, it takes a LOT to survive strictly off of the land. One thing would be shoes, for an example, then what. Skin a critter, tan the hyde, sew together a pair of mocceesocks that do`nt withstand cactus, YOUCH !!!! and there is a lot of cactus over here. Shirts, pants coats and such. With not having any primitave skills of the such, it`d be a mighty painful learning experience.

Lone survivor is the best. Remember that guy has to lug around all his camera gear AND survive.

Dual survivor wasn't too bad.

Bear Grills advice will get you killed.

The rest are just entertainment. I find Mick Dodge amusing.

I'm "military" walking distance from the Bitteroot National forest bordering Idaho.

Been looking for a remote spot in it that has a hot spring. If I can find one I may "settle" there, or at least make it my bugout location.

Great Country I almost bought some land on the North Fork of the Salmon River in 83. 23 acres, $14,000. Kick myself! Lost trail pass is a neat area.
