SAN ANTONIO — In his office in Missouri, coloring book mogul Wayne Bell monitored online websites Thursday that sell his latest hit, the story of U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas.

The publisher said Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 that the book's in its third printing in six days. The first run of around 10,000 sold out in barely 24 hours, and the second went nearly as fast. Cruz didn't cooperate in the publishing of the book. (AP Photo/Really Big Coloring Books Inc.)
“At this very moment, we have people in all 50 states looking at this book. Right now, Houston's got 88 and there are 26 people in San Antonio. It's just mind-boggling, really,” Bell said.
Bell's business in St. Louis, Really Big Coloring Books Inc., is printing the “Cruz to the Future” comic coloring activity books as fast as possible to fulfill mounting orders from across the nation.
When the 24-page book was released Dec. 6, the first printing sold out the next day. A second press run began Monday, another sell-out. The third run underway Thursday was another likely sell-out, Bell said.
“I've been in the business 30 years and I've made a lot of coloring books, but once in a while you run across an item and it just skyrockets. That's what this one did. It's No. 1 on Amazon right now in children's activity books globally,” he said by phone.
No precise sales figures were disclosed, but Bell said the books are usually printed in batches of at least 10,000. Copies sell for $4.99 a copy.
Bet Cruz will be spending more time in Iowa these next couple years, he has already done some fundraiser dinners for the state party.
I just hope he changes his mind about more federal funding for background checks, I'll let him know what I think when I see him there! :usa:
I think Cruz does some pretty gud stuff, but, I do NOT agree on his position to illegal immigrants, I kno He is`nt fur backgrounding cheks biut I`m thinkingk He is fur allowing in an amnestizing others coming in as well. Not a gud thingk.
Looking at the coloring book, I think I will get several of them, give them to the grandchildrens so they can unnerstand some of the things that the schools is lacking.
If he is not for more stringent background checks then he should correct the senate record. I watched Cspan while he gave a speech in the senate calling for more federal funding for background checks. I posted on it when I heard it shortly after the Sandyhook shooting.

OH, That is a gud thngk then. I thot He wuz one of them ones whut wuz wanting to become leaneeunt on them backgrounds checking.
I have an issue with the hypocrisy, He says on one hand that more federal spending is unacceptable but then calls for more federal spending??????
I don't think the feds should be involved with background checks short of making a data base available for the states. They have proven themselves corrupt and incompetent, how would their approval make anyone safer. It should be a local decision, the federal government is banned from the issue by the 2nd amendment in my book.

seems to be the way with "CAREER POLITICIANS", I say eight years max, with NO benefits. More of the common, from the people types`d be taking positions then, wages is way too much too. Shuld be 1/2 of whut they is getting now. Bring um down to the level of the common folks an things`d be a lot different. maybe better, maybe worser, time wooood tellll.
