That looks to be rather interesting, but, the money for a membership is just not a doable thing for Me right now, maybe at a later date I can though.
I know that I am a mere shadow of My former self, as far as being in shape and the discipline to maintain that.
I really need to get in gear and do something about it. I do not think that an online membership would be much good at keeping Me in the discaplenship end ofit though. That is something that takes a mind set, or some sort of a psychic change or a spiritual experience to obtain, will power alone can not keep Me going back in, day after day and working out, marching, hiking, running, walking and roughing it, to keep Me in shape. a team would be better, people right here in My community, that We can/could keep each other on track and going.
Teaching each other survival skills, shooting skills, along with how to stay concealed, rather it be in the wild or the urban.
The things I learned in Basic training taught Me a lot, I have forgotten a lot, there are othersw in My community that are as I am, even if they had not been in the service, they still have skills and such that could and can be important in a survival situation.
I need to get to going on this before I am uncapable of doing anything at all.still at 6`1" but have grown to 185 pounds instead of the 175 that I used to maintain, back when I felt real good with that weight, diet is another thing, I do`nt eat the right kinds of food that will help Me to get into shape.
A tough row to hoe, but it can be done.

You do not sound in bad shape at that height/weight, not sure how old you are. I am 6'2/193 as of this am. My best was 186 +/- 3 lbs back in the mid 80's. I do not diet, never have or needed to. I would not be afraid to challenge the Army PT test, and believe I can pass, not likely to get the near max scores I used to but pass I am sure. I am nearly 70.

I found a LOT of interesting things on the site to read, granted I think its high dollar even at its cheapest its $10 per month, would I get that much value???? But to be full member its $100 per mo which tells me its being aimed at Incs who are just writing it off. While I can do that with my company not sure I can get that worth out of it. I find it more interesting and enjoyable rather than valuable.

While I strongly feel SEALs etc etc are highly skilled, trained and I can ladle adjectives like soup from a pot are they REALLY management consultants like it seems every SEAL is now doing. I would be the FIRST to say that can add a LOT of Inc's. But having a career as a consultant I can assure you few are open to military organizational suggestions. I consulted to the Fortune 500 along with a lot of other smaller companies over the years. Allow me to sum up my exp an assessment of Corp America: 'they make more money by accident than they do on purpose and when they do make money its usually by accident'

FEW could give a damn about your military exp other than a sidebar of some combat stories. I heard this far too many times: "what would you know about IT, you Army guys just camp out in the woods and ride around in tanks all day, do you guys even have computers?"

Well yes we do have some computers and while I was a combat soldier for half of my career, the second half I was in IT, I was the Chief Technical Architect/Program Manager and my IT budget was just over $127 Million annually. If you want world class IT delivered on time on budget I can do it, if not then hire someone else!!! Yes I got hired, right then!

I am but 62 Y.O. and I too feel that I could probably pass them P.T. tests, it would probably take a couple of weeks to get My strength back but I am absolutely certain that it could happen, I would love the opportunity to give it a try.
There are camps out there where a person can join and go through the same sort of training that Basic was, maybe still is. The problem with that is the "FUN TICKETS" and the lack there of.
I guess it is up to ME to get going on a program that will follow the militarys system.
I had My U.S. Army, "Basic Combat Training Manual" but My, then, brother inlaw wanted to "Borrow" it. several months later I asked for it back, He replied that He did`nt borrow any books from Me.
I would thoroughly love to get My hands on printing of that book, One read through and I am sure that it would ALL come rushing back, that is where I want to be and live, in a "Bug Out" mentality.
