Had a "girlfriend" in Germany that had a neat one. I never paid much attention to exactly what model it was, not a 911, maybe a 924,anyway, I drove like I stole it, same with her! :usa:
The autobahn experience was outstanding!
Friend of mine, his GF was the number on sales person in Dallas selling these things. He knew I was a Corvette guy and I also had a MB 500SL that had been massaged in Germany. It was basically a 600 V 12 SL with the 500 V8 engine. It was not only faster than the 600 but handled a LOT better due to so much lighter weight.
So he has his GF call me when they got a fast mover in. Seems like it wa a Twin Turbo model a solid $100 k + car real top of the line street rig. So I get down there to take the test drive. First thing is tying to SHOEHORN my 6'2+"/210 lb frame (6'4 with my cowboy boots on). Well that was a struggle to say the least. Then I had to drive and shift gears, now my size 12 feet FILLED up the floorboard. It was a real struggle to drive fast and be able to push that car around with my LONG arms filling the cabin. I gave it a solid 30 min of driving and we headed back. I must say i did discover his GF secret for selling all those cars...MATCHING UNDERWEAR under that SHORT SKIRT...

She was def a looker, already a tall girl and toss in a set of 5 in heels, long jet black hair and even longer legs and the golden tan, that big Dallas smile and those matching underwear and I can only guess that most guys were ready to buy anything on the lot just to get a demo ride with her. In fact she had never sold a car in her life, needed a job and my buddy knew a guy down at the Porsche place who told him they were looking for a new sales person and wanted a woman as the gal they had got married and moved out of state with her hub. She headed down there and they were hesitant to hire here with zero car exp..but she talked them into it by saying she would work for free, just give her a bigger commission when she sold a car. They figured she would fail, but it was not going to cost and they could find a better girl in the interim. Well she SOLD those new P's and in short order was the number one sales person. She did leave after a few years and went into another business...
